Mutual Aid Americas Featured in Fire Engineering Magazine
I traveled to Guayaquil in February 2002 with another firefighter from the house, Brian Currid. We had no idea what to expect. We weren’t sure of the types of buildings they had; how they were constructed; and what the status would be regarding apparatus, equipment, and staffing, among many other things.

Engine 211 in Service in Ecuador
By Firefighter Peter Lazaro October 22, 2006 October 2006 - Guayaquil, Ecuador The Benemerito Cuerpo de Bomberos de Guayaquil (the Guayaquil, Ecuador Fire Department) recently placed into service a 1977 Seagrave fire engine that previously saw service as Engine 211 in Bedford Village, New York. Engine 211, which served the Bedford community from 1977 to 2005, is now called Engine 4 and is based in Station 2, Company "Sirena 4", located in the heart of Guayaquil.

Mutual Aid Americas Director Guest speaks at the Alabama's Voluteer Firefighters Convention
Dan Sheridan started his carreer in 1986 in Tower Ladder 17 located in The South Bronx. He spent 5 years there, in 1991 he transferred to Squad 41 a newly formed company that was reopened as a result of Engine 41 closing. The company was responsible to respond to all fires in most of the Bronx and Harlem. The company was extremely busy in those years in the early 90's. In 1995 Dan was promoted to Lieutenant and worked for around 2 years in Special Operations Command....
